Raphael's Head of a Muse goes for a whopping $47.9 million dollars at an auction in London. Drawn by Raphael between 1508 and 1511, it is considered one of his greatest masterpieces. It was inked as a study in the Stanza della Segnatura in the Vatican. Commissioned by Pope Julius II, this painting was auctioned off in 2009, the first time in 150 years. .
