#3 Feather: Extinct Huia Bird - $6787
A single feather from the extinct Huia Bird was auctioned off for $6787 in New Zealand. The winning bidders, a family from Wellington, are said to own a collection of Maori artifacts. The bird, itself, was last seen in 1907, and it's feathers were typically used as an accessory for Maori chiefs.
