Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio remain one of the most famous couples in the Hollywood history. Joe DiMaggio, a popular baseball player back then, loved Marilyn Monroe till the end although the marriage lasted only 9 months. After Monroe's death, he continued sending roses to her grave three times a week, for the next 20 years. His last words were, "I will finally get to see Marilyn."

2.Edward VIII of England Chose Love Over Throne

Edward VIII became King of England in 1936. He had to give up the throne because he fell in love with a married American woman named Wallis Simpson, and wanted to marry her. According to the Royal protocol, a king can't marry a divorced or married woman. Edward VIII had to choose between love and the Kingdom. He chose the woman, and made way for his brother George VI to become the king. George VI was the father of Queen Elizabeth.

3.Story Behind the Taj Mahal

Taj Mahal is one of the most recognizable pieces of construction on Earth. However, not all people clearly know the story. Taj Mahal was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in remembrance of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, who died giving birth to their 14th child. Over 20,000 people worked to construct the most beautiful mausoleum.
