Prairie Rattlesnakes are apoisonous pit viper species. They reside in western USA, southwestern Canada, and northern Mexico. These snakes eat a variety of prey, especially small mammals. They even prey on the animal they share a name with; prairie dogs. These rattlesnakes generally grow to be more than 3.3 ft.in length.
