1.Marriage means talking
When you are married communication is key. If you are not very good at it, then perhaps it is time to start learning how to talk. A couple that are unable to communicate will end up running into all kinds of problems throughout their marriage.
2.Don't forget
Important dates like birthdays, anniversaries, and even memorial days need to be remembered. These kinds of things can be very important to your partner and your life will certainly be a lot better if you do manage to avoid forgetting these kinds of things during your marriage.
3.Legal contracts
Legal aspects of marriage need to be researched, signed, and sealed. One should get to know marriage contracts and what they mean as well as ensure your partner and kids are OK if they should leave this earth earlier than anticipated. There is a lot more to it than you realize.
4.Big bucks, big responsibility
Big purchases are important now as you are building a future together. You need to remember that you have a family now, so need to look at things such as buying a house or even a vehicle, so priorities and what is important is going to change from now on.
5.Money issues
When there are two of you, then it is time to take a close look at those spending sprees and work out how to stop them. You have to remember that every single cent has to be accounted for by both partners or questions will rightfully be asked be the other person.
6.Fun things last
Purchasing those play things you want are not so good an idea now as you have more people to think about. This means you feel as if money is tight and can no longer actually do the things that you want to do or go the places that you want to go.
7.Sleep
Sleep gets to be a bit of a luxury. The days of just snoozing whenever you feel like it become a distant memory and you wonder how you are managing to cope with as little sleep because you sure as hell could not do that before.

8.sex is hard work
sex can actually become boring and quite hard work when you are married. Some like to say it is putting spice back in your married, but who knew sex could be seen as work? Surely it should always be seen as something completely enjoyable?
9.Party days
Suddenly the so called "sad single" days of when one could party whenever they felt like it seem like the best days ever. Now you have to check with your spouse first, the kids next, and then try to find a friend who remembers you in order to hit the clubs.

10.Snoring pains
No one mentioned before I got married that my partner would snore all night? How am I supposed to sleep with all of that noise going on? Should I use the pillow to cover my ears or to smother him so he at least shuts up for a bit?
11.Remote wars
Why did nobody tell me that the remote had to be shared when you were married? Surely I just get automatic control of the remote because that is what I am already used to? Is that not how it works?

12.Hell no!
No one told me that once you were married you couldn't eat cereal for dinner? Sheesh now you have to be all proper and grown up and eat real food with cereal being demoted to purely a breakfast thing. That is something I am going to miss.
