Enjoyable Things To Do During Electricity Blackout

1.Make Love To Someone
Since millions of people prefer to make love with the lights off, it seems like the most common thing to do during a blackout. It's also the perfect time to make love if you haven't hit the gym in a while. If you don't have someone to make love to, you can always cuddle with your pet or stuffed animal instead.
2.Candlelight Bath
If your latest blackout has you stressed out, then a nice candlelight bath will ease your troubles. Fill up your tub with your favorite bubble bath, light some candles and place them around the edge of your tub and you're allset. The dark atmosphere coupled with the candles can relax your mind, body and soul.
3.Read A Book
Reading is a great pastime and it can even be done during a blackout. If you don't have any electricity, you more than likely have candles lit all around you house. Snuggle up with a good book next to a tall candle and you've found something to do. Reading by candlelight can be extremely soothing and it's a great way to de-stress.
4.Crochet/Knit
Not having any electricity is the perfect time to take up a new hobby or master one that you already partake in. Crocheting and knitting is all about the technique. As long as you know the technique inside-and-out, then you don't need light to create a stunning scarf, hat or blanket.
5.Have A Candlelit Dinner
Candlelit dinners are romantic under normal circumstances, but when you actually don't have electricity and have to use candles it heightens the mood. Prep your table (or floor) with your eating utensils and an array of candles. If you have a gas stove, heat up the dinner and plate it for you and your significant other. If you have an electric stove, you can always have a 'Candlelit Dessert' instead.
6.Meditate
Meditating in the dark is both relaxing and productive. Sometimes a person can drift into meditation due to the lights being off. Your mind is much more clear and open when you meditate with absolutely no foreign objects interrupting your tranquil moment. Since there's not much else to you might as well become one with your own thoughts.
7.Sing Songs Together
Singing songs with your family and friends can be extremely enjoyable during a blackout, especially if you can't sing. Everyone collectively picks a song to sing and even If you don't know the words to the song, you can make them up as you go along. If you have battery-powered radio, you can always turn to your favorite radio station and sing-along with the songs playing.

8.Ice Cream Party
If the power is off, that means everything in your fridge and freezer is about to melt or get warm. This is the perfect excuse to take the ice cream and frozen desserts out of your freezer and eat them before they melt. Grab the kids and your neighbors and have an Ice Cream Party. This concept will only work if you have ice cream in your freezer. No one wants to have a 'Frozen Vegetables Party.'
9.Get Some Sleep
Blackouts can be fun in the beginning, but after a while they can become boring. If you don't know what to do while you wait for the electricity to come back on, try taking catching up on some sleep. Chances are, that when you awake from your nap, the lights will be back on and you won't be bored anymore.

10.Play with a Ouija Board
Whether or not Ouija boards really work, remains to be seen, but it's always fun to try. Light some candles and get everyone in the room to gather around the board. Ask the board any questions you want to know the answers to, but be prepared for something eerie to happen.
11.Tell Ghost Stories
Telling ghost stories in the dark heightens the fear in everyone in the room. Sharing ghost stories always makes at least one person paranoid in the room, which makes it fun for everyone else. Just make sure you don't tell any ghost stories while grandma is around, or you'll have another incident on your hands.

12.Flashlight Tag
Flashlight Tag is a game that people of all ages can enjoy. All participants get a flashlight. The rules are similar to Tag, but instead of running to find someone and tapping them when you do, you use your flashlight to 'tag them.' Before you decide to play this game, make sure you have enough batteries for the game and for in case of an emergency.
