In South Australia, Coober Pedy is a place for tourists to mine opal, while seeing how the other half lives. With devastatingly hot summer temperatures, the locals go underground where it is much cooler. A whole city exists underneath the ground, including churches, hotels and houses. If you go down, you may never want to come out.
