1.The Walking Man - Auguste Rodin (1840 -1917)

Another great work of art by Rodin and completely different to his earlier works. This wiry bronze frame depicts a man walking his legs abnormally long to give the feeling of the great strides he is taking.

2.Pavel Mylnikov Russia

This contemporary sculpture is made of sand and clay. It has managed to capture the emotive sensuality found in a moment in time. Both abstract and realist this is truly a sculpture of our times and you have to seriously admire the skill of the man.

3.The Hindu Chola

Although not a sculpture in the traditional sense these beautifully made bronze statues are recognizable world-wide. Made initially in the Chola Period in India they formed part of a worship ritual. Not attributed to one single artist the Hinda Chola is still made today by various chosen artists.

4.Moses -Michelangelo (1475-1564)

Michelangelo shows up again and again with regard to the most famous sculptures of all time. One might say he is the most famous artist of all time? That would not be true though as art reflects the life and times it is made in. This beautiful marble figure still enchants people today.

5.Mark Jenkins Contemporary Artist (1970)

Mark Jenkins an American artist makes memorable sculptures of everyday life. He says with his art it is the interaction and subsequent reactions of passers-by that make his art reflect life. In this photograph here we see his sculpture leaning against a wall and the guy passing by looking concerned.

6.Kittiwat Unarrom - Body Parts Contemporary Artist

This artist is fast becoming famous and many of his 'pieces' are recognizable world-wide. Made from bread all of his sculptures are edible. Unarrom is from a family of bakers and began his art at an early age once spending time on a forensic science course. His sculptures do not last long however as they are sold daily from the bakery.

7.Jason de Caires 1974 Contemporary Artist

This hauntingly beautiful sculpture is the work of Jason de Caires. Just as the water moods change so does the atmosphere and mood around these cement structures. Set under the sea this sculpture is now classified by National Geographic as one of the top 25 wonders of the world.

8.The Statue Of Liberty - 19th Century Sculpture - Frederic Bartholdi (1834-1904)

Bartholdi a French Sculpture crafted the Statue of Liberty for America in 1886. Indeed it is one of the most recognizable and famous sculptures in the world. The torch signifies light and liberty and was said to signify 'seeing the way forward'.

9.Venus De Milo - Alexandro Antioch 100-130 BC

Venus De Milo or Aphrodite is the Greek Goddess of Love and Beauty. In those times this is how beauty was depicted. The statue was found laying around discarded on a farmers field. Today she stands proud in the Louvre Museum in Paris.

10.Pieta -Michelangelo (1475-1564)

Pieta was the sculpture that made Michelangelo famous. He was asked to do a depiction of Jesus Christ in his mothers arms as he lay dying. It was one of Michelangelos finest and most beautiful works and all you can do is marvel at the beauty of it.

11.Lady Justice

This famous sculpture has been made by many artists and in many different ways. This beautiful figure outlines justice by holding a scale aloft. She is blindfolded to signify blind justice. Or trusting in justice. She dates back to the Greek and Roman times.

12.The Kiss - Auguste Rodin (1840 -1917)

The sculpture although beautiful is tragic in its meaning. This 13th Century noblewoman falls in love with her husbands brother. Not many realize that the lips are not actually touching since they are killed before they are able to kiss.
