1.Fountain of Wealth, Suntec City, Singapore
Recognised by the Guinness Book of Records as one of the biggest fountains in the world, it is not only large but very eye catching too. During the day when the fountain is in 'off' mode, shoppers are invited to place money into the fountain in the hope of accumulating wealth.
2.The Palace of Versailles Fountain
These rich marbled statues form part of the fountain in the gardens of the Palace of Versailles. Built centuries ago. the fountain still charms and enchants its viewers with its fine art approach and brilliant water features. Recently it has been noted that this artwork needs restoration and it will be well worth it we are sure many will agree.
3.The Scott Fountain, Belle Isle
At night a soft glow illuminates this beautiful fountain making it an attractive landmark in the city of Detroit. The fountain was donated upon death, by James Scott, who was reported to be rich and lazy as well as a womanizer. He had bequeathed monies to the city of Detroit to erect a fountain in his honor. Honor was arguably something Scott had little of! However, the fountain certainly adds to the scenery of Belle Isle.
4.The Merlion Fountain, Singapore
With the head of a lion and the body of a fish, this fountain symbolizes all that Singapore is. Depicting a 'Sea Lion' the statue is a reminder of Singapore's origins that of a fishing village. Here the statue is photographed at night, showcasing its beauty even more poignantly.
5.The Buckingham Fountain, Chicago
Considered as the gateway to Chicago this magnificent fountain was donated by Kate Buckingham in memory of her brother Clarence Buckingham. The fountain is a beautifully choreographed symphony that shows daily and is operated by a computer miles away.
6.The Archibald Fountain, Sydney
One of Sydney's proudest show pieces is the Archibald Fountain. This beautifully artistic and aesthetically pleasing piece of art was donated to the city of Sydney by J F Archibald to show friendship and peace between Australia and France after World War One. Constructed in 1932 it is a prime example of Art Decor at its finest. Archibald himself was a regular if not rich man who loved all things Parisian.
7.The Banpo Bridge Korea
Designed in 1982 this beautiful bridge is also functional as well as a visual delight. The water level of the river is regulated by the bridge and so enables cycle's and passenger vehicles to travel with ease. The water is constantly pumped from the river itself so as to cause no water wastage.

Las Vegas wouldn't be Las Vegas without its fantastic fountains. The Bellagio Fountain being a case in point. magnificent, large and full of aplomb, the water shows it gives off every day add that sense of adventure and wonder that is so signature to Las Vegas.

This fountain situated in the City of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia could be another 'wonder of the world'. It spits water into the sky at a massive 1023 ft, which is higher than the Eiffel Tower. You can see the buildings as a back drop seemingly dwarfed by its mighty spray.
