Celebrities are humans like us too, and they aren't completely flawless. Some of us have scars on our bodies, which, in most cases is the result of an injury. Celebs have those scars too. #8 Joaquin Phoenix - Lip Scar
Joaquin Phoenix is an American actor who is known for playing Commodus role in the Gladiator (2000) film. Joaquin Phoenix has a visible scar on his lips. At first, people thought that the star once had cleft lip. As you may know, cleft lip is a condition in which newborn babies have an unusual split in their upper lip, exposing gums and inner mouth palette. One in every 600 children born in the United States has some form of a cleft lip.
Joaquin Phoenix, however, wasn't born with cleft lip but born with a similar condition called microform cleft. The scar developed when he was in his mother's womb. His scar is clearly visible because he's not one of those actors who don't grow facial hair and mustache.
