Make a list of the most common phrases used in the English language. Look up what they mean and learn how to say them with the proper pronunciation. The more phrases you know the more you can converse. Things like asking where the bathroom is, thanking someone, ordering coffee, and more.

As with anything in life, practice makes perfect. If you just study words and sentences, conjugating verbs and stuff like that, you still won't be able to speak it unless you keep speaking it.
