Tina made her debut on Trick Daddy's "Nann Nigga," before moving on to release five of her own successful studio albums. Named "Most Consistent Female Rapper of All Time," Trina was recognized by Source Magazine in 2012 during Women's History Month and by Complex Magazine in 2013 for her single "Pull Over" ranking #27 out of the "Top 50 Best Rap Songs by Women."
2.Lisa Lopes
Lisa Lopes was part of the group TLC and was nicknamed "Left Eye." Writing raps for the group, her singles became hits and TLC became chart toppers. Raps like "Ain't To Proud To Beg" was one of the songs that put her on the map, and she went on to earn four Grammys with the group.
3.MC Lyte
MC Lyte is considered to be the best female rapper of all time. Her rhymes, wordplay, delivery and flow are unbeatable and unmatchable. Young female rappers idolize her and strive to be even half the talent that she is. She changed the view of females in hip hop forever more.
4.Lauryn Hill
Part of the trio, The Fugees, Lauryn Hill stood out from the group, receiving five Grammys for her own masterpiece, "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. She made a name for herself as one of the top female rappers of all time and "Miseducation" put her there, making it hard for anyone to match her success.
5.Queen Latifah
Queen Latifah is not only a female rapper, she is a force to be reckoned with. An actress, she has starred with some of the best in the industry, but never lost her appeal as a rapper. With a grand following, Queen Latifah stands up for gender equality. Even if you're not into rap, you know Queen Latifah.
6.Missy Elliott
Missy Elliott became one of the most well known and respected female rappers of our time. As a writer, singer, and rapper, she directs music videos and puts together her own beats. Missy has earned herself six platinum albums, being the only female rapper ever to do so. One of the most diverse hip-hoppers ever.
7.Da Brat
In 1994, the world was introduced to a different type of female rapper, Da Brat. When her release of "Funkafied," went platinum it was the first ever by a female solo rapper. Since then Da Brat has paved her own road, veering off from the typical female rappers who have more of a sexy image.

Jean Grae is another one of the best female rappers in the industry. She's been around long enough to know her audience and how to put out rhymes that they gobble up, but she hasn't been around too long as to grow irrelevant. Rah Digga was once part of Busta Rhymes' Flipmode Squad, but eventually made her own recording of, "Dirty Harriet." Rah appeals to a wide demographic with her ability to be commercial while maintaining her gritty rapper girl appeal. Hardcore rappers lover her, while those who dabble in it love her too.

Lil Kim is one of the most popular female rappers, being the only one to receive the 5 mics award for her first album, "The naked Truth." She is considered one of the most influence female rappers of all time, and the younger generation can only emulate her, but there are no duplicates that can ever be Lil Kim.

With hits like "Satisfaction," "Let Me Blow Your Mind," and Gangsta Lovin," Eve is a female rapper that appeals to a broad audience. Making her debut in Hollywood, Eve appeared in the film "XX" in 2002, as well as in "The Cookout" and "Barbershop." Being a true rapper, through and through, Eve released "Lip Lock" in 2013, to a grand reception.

12.Foxy Brown
Foxy Brown is one of the top female rappers in the industry. In her early days she was featured on LL Cool J's single "I Shot Ya," and Jay-Z's "Ain't No N**gga before releasing her own hits. "I'll Na Na" was her first single, released in 1996, featuring a slew of the biggest names in rap. She sold over one million copies.
