1.The Name Yen Sid is Disney in Reverse

Do you remember this character? Yen Sid is Mickey Mouse’s teacher and also a powerful sorcerer. He made his first appearance back in ‘The Sorcerer’s Apprentice’ film that was released back in 1940. Disney named this character ‘Yen Sid’, which reads as ‘Disney’ when spelled in reverse.

2.Sid’s Surprise Appearance in Toy Story 3

Sidney Phillips, popularly known as ‘Sid’ is the main antagonist character in the original Toy Story. Sid also made an appearance in Toy Story 3 as a garbageman. Given the fact Sid is the most hated character in Toy Story, this secret appearance as a garbageman is quite interesting. Don’t miss this cool moment.

3.Lion King ‘Scar’ in Hercules

We often see Disney’s Hercules wearing a lion skin. If you look closely, this lion skin reminds ‘Scar’ of ‘The Lion King’. The resemblance between Scar and the lion in Hercules is not surprising, as the same person worked for both the movies as lead animator.

4.Jungle Book’s Vultures Were Supposed to be Voiced by the Beatles

Disney’s idea was to rope in the four ‘Beatles’ superstars to voice four vulture characters in ‘The Jungle Book’.  Unfortunately, it never happened because of schedule conflicts. John Lennon was also said to be against this idea, so maybe he made up the schedule conflicts. If you look closely, you will see a striking similarity between Jungle Book’s vultures and the Beatles.

The code ‘A113’ appeared many times in many Disney and Pixar films. This code appeared in more than half a dozen popular movies of Pixar and Disney. A1-13 is the code of classroom in ‘California Institute of Arts’ where students learn character animation. Many California Institute of Arts alumni work for top entertainment companies like Disney.

If you have seen Toy Story 2, you would remember Jessie (cowgirl) cry out ‘sweet mother of Abraham Lincoln’, when she first met Woody. Nancy Hanks is the name of Abraham Lincoln’s mother, who is a blood relative to Tom Hanks. As you already know, Tom Hanks has given voice to the Woody character in the movie.
