1.Queen Latifah
Queen Latifah may have started out as a rapper, but most people only know her as an actress. Winner of two Screen Actors Guild Awards, one Golden Globe and two Image Awards, she is also the winner of a Grammy Award and six Grammy Award nominations. Additionally she received nominations for an Emmy and Oscar.
2.Ludacris
Chris Bridges, better known in the hip hop world as Ludacris, has sold over 11 million record in the United States. However, that's not where his success ends. He starred in the film, "Hustle & Flow" and had a guest role in "Law & Order" in 2007. He is considered the highest selling Southern hip hop artist of all time.
3.P Diddy
Sean Combs is a man of many names, P Diddy being one of them. He is also known as just Diddy and Puff Daddy. Regardless of his names, the rapper has won three Grammy Awards and two MTV Video Music Awards. P Diddy made his way into acting in the film "Get Him To The Greek" and a guest starring role in the hit HBO television show "Entourage." Since then he has done more television and continues to act.
4.Coolio
Coolio is another rapper turned reality show star. In 2008, he and his family were depicted in the reality show "Coolio Rules," proving not that he could act, but that he could play himself. We all know he can rap, but a new fan base learned there is more to Coolio than just the rhymes.
5.Flavor Flav
Rapper Flavor Flav was part of the group Public Enemy, but gained recognition from an entirely new fan base when he appeared on the reality show "The Surreal Life" where he became romantically entangled with Brigitte Nielsen, who was also a guest in the house. Their relationship spawned their own reality show spinoff "Strange Love."
6.Salt-N-Pepa
Salt-N-Pepa had huge success as a female rapping duo, parlaying that into a television show of their very own. In 2007, "The Salt-N-Pepa Show" premiered on VH1. The show followed the girls lives and although it only lasted a season, it gave them both the acting bug.
7.50 Cent
Once part of the rap group "G-Unit," 50 Cent went on to star in his own reality show, "50 Cent: The Money and the Power." The show was not a huge success and it was cancelled within a month, but it still showed that 50 Cent could do television, and he probably will again.

8.LL Cool J
LL Cool J is a successful Grammy Award winning rapper who has also starred in hit films such as "Any Given Sunday," "Rollerball," and "Last Holiday." LL Cool J stands for Ladies Love Cool James, and this Cool James is one of the only rappers to have success in both hip hop and in film.
9.Snoop Dogg
Snoop Dogg, now turned Snoop Lion, is well known for being a top selling rapper, but has also appeared on television. In the E! reality show "Snoop Dogg's Father Hood," Snoop starred as himself. He also appeared on MTV in "Doggy fizzle Televizzle." Snoop Dogg or Snoop Lion, he's made his mark in both industries.

Ice T is really named Tracy Marrow, and he is not only a Grammy Award winning rapper, he is also an actor and an author. Starring on the hit television drama,"Law and Order SVU," it's ironic that he released a rap song in 1993 called "Cop Killer." He also had a reality show with his wife, Coco.
11.Will Smith
We all know Will Smith as the Fresh Prince. As part of the hip hop dua, Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince, he is one of the most successful rapper turned actors in the industry. Smith used his quick wit and rhyming expertise to land not only a role in the television show, but to be the star and have the show named after him, The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air. He now has a huge television and film career.

12.Mark Wahlberg
Mark Wahlberg was once known as Marky Mark, the lead singer of Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch. With his ripped, muscular body, the rapper made his first foray into acting in Calvin Klein underwear commercial. Today he is a respected actor appearing in the HBO television show, "Entourage," of which he also produces.
