The problem is worse in the African countries. According to South African police, a woman is raped every 36 seconds. Many people think that rape is a sexual assault carried out by a stranger. In 1982, two teenagers broke into her apartment with knives and raped her. One of the two boys was just 15 years old. Kelly couldn't get over the rape incident for a very long time.
