1.Dr Drew
Dr Drew has just recently undergone surgery for prostate cancer and by all accounts things have gone exceptionally well and everything is fine. Clearly, as with everybody, it came as a bit of a shock, but swift action has undoubtedly saved his life.
2.Sheryl Crow
Sheryl was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006 and she certainly faced a tough battle with it in its earliest stages. However, she is now back making music and has survived and can continue to live a full life.
3.Robert de Niro
Robert de Niro was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2003, but of course he managed to overcome it and has made a number of movies since treatment was completed. Let's face it you would never know he had been ill now since he seems as active as ever before.
4.Cybill Shepherd
Cybill was diagnosed with skin cancer in 2002 and even though some people feel as if that is not serious there are still a lot of people that die from it. However, some careful treatment led to a full recovery.
5.Tom Green
Tom Green was diagnosed with testicular cancer, but it was caught early enough so it had not had the chance to spread elsewhere in his body. It did of course make him calm down a bit and was certainly a big scare, but a full recovery was made.
6.Billy Connolly
This Scottish comedian recently revealed that he had been treated for prostate cancer, but that everything was a complete success. You just know that he would have been cracking jokes all the way through it and it will more than likely end up appearing in his next show as well.
7.Rod Stewart
A lot of people forget this, but he was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 1999. Of course anything connected to that kind of area of the body is going to be worrying for a singer, but he made a full recovery and his continued to sell a huge number of albums.

8.Michael Douglas
Michael Douglas has battled throat cancer for a couple of years now and at one point people were shocked at how ill he looked. However, things have certainly improved and he is back acting again, so he must be feeling better.
9.Lance Armstrong
Of course we all know the story of how he cheated at cycling, but there is no doubt that it is still a remarkable story considering how close to death he actually was. We all know he had cancer in several parts of his body, but the mere fact he managed to even get back on a bicycle is still huge.

This singer has had a terrible time with cancer resulting in surgery and a lot of treatment. However, she has recovered from it and should be a good example as to how important perseverance actually is when recovering from an illness.
11.Olivia Newton John
Olivia Newton John was actually diagnosed in 1996 with breast cancer, but she has since gone on to live a full life and recover from this particularly difficult disease. She is one of many celebrities that seem to have had this type of cancer, but early detection is key.

Mr T was actually diagnosed with a rare form of T-cell lymphoma back in 1995. However, he made a full recovery and has appeared in all kinds of things since then, so at least he keeps himself very busy indeed.
