Every nation reserves the right to keep a foreign national from entering into its country. The visa issuing authorities usually refuse a visa application if they find something wrong with the applicant. Many countries deny visa to people who are criminals or have a shady past. Celebrities although popular and famous can also be refused a visa. Here are fifteen celebrities who were denied visa in a country they were trying to visit. 
7.Bjork

Bjork's reasons for being denied a visa to China had nothing to do with the law and everything to do with her politics, more specifically, her highly public and outspoken support of Tibet. Richard Gere, filmmaker Martin Scorsese and actor Harrison Ford were also denied entry for this reason.

8.The Rolling Stones

The Stones were denied entry to the nation of Japan for many years due to prior rug convictions. Japan however, has recently forgiven the band and reversed their decision, perhaps figuring the band is now simply too old to cause any trouble.

9.Paris Hilton

The young socialite and reality star TV had her plans to visit Japan hit a snag when she was turned away from Tokyo's Narita airport. The reason? Hilton had pled guilty to cocaine possession in Las Vegas just the day before. It must have slipped her mind.
