Social media is a great way to connect, communicate and share information with people. The advantages of social media are too many to list down. There are some dangers as well. Social media can put you in a world of troubles if you don't use it the right way. Social media can also make people lose their jobs. Want to know how? 1.High School Principal
North Miami Senior High School principal wrote a public comment (Facebook comment) on the Miami Herald website supporting the actions of Officer David Eric Casebolt, who pulled a gun at a teenage pool party. He wrote, "He [Casebolt] did nothing wrong. He was afraid for his life. I commend him for his actions." It was this comment that got him fired.
2.Brookfield Zoo Employee Fired Over a Racist Tweet
An employee at the Brookfield Zoo, Chicago posted this selfie on Instagram with a racist and dumb message. The zoo authorities were quick to spot the picture and immediately fired the girl.
3.Justine Sacco and Her Infamous Aids Tweet
Justine Sacco was global head for communication at IAC before the company sacked her for posting a racist tweet. She tweeted, "Going to Africa. Hope I don't get AIDS. Just kidding. I'm White!"
4.Rashard Mendenhall Posted a Different Opinion on Osama Bin Laden
Rashard Mendenhall, former Pittsburgh Steelers running back (RB), posted a strange opinion on Osama Bin Laden. Soon after posting the tweet, he lost his endorsement deals. He later got traded to Arizona but played only for one year.

Every year hundreds of people get fired from their company because either they add their boss on Facebook or because they shared something indecent on Facebook or Twitter publicly. Everyone has the freedom of speech but that doesn't mean you have the right to attack on someone's thoughts or freedom. Make sure what you post on social media doesn't get you in trouble in the end because we live in a very easily offended world and Yeah make sure you don't act dumb like these people on twitter as well.
