MySpace was once the most popular social networking website in the world. Since then, its popularity has steadily declined. The website was founded in 2003 by Chris DeWolfe and Tom Anderson. In June 2013, Specific Media Group and Justin Timberlake mutually purchased the company for approximately $35 million. MySpace helped many artists and personalities put themselves on the map. It was one of the best places to make friends, network, and win free stuff, get information, date and even discuss hot topics on its forums. In 2008, Facebook surpassed MySpace in the number of unique worldwide visitors.
