The Myth: Drop a penny from the Empire State Building and you might kill someone.
The Truth: A penny only weighs about a gram and would only reach about 100 miles per hour as it fell. If it did hit someone in the head it would only feel like it weighed a pound, at most. It might hurt a little, but it would not kill you.
