Italian designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabanna met in Milan in 1980, working for the same fashion house. Two years later they opened their own designer consulting studio, presenting their first women's collection in 1985 in Milan. At the end of the 90's the company sales were about $500,00 million, with revenue reaching $633,200,000 in 2003.
