The Powerpuff Girls had girls shouting "girl power" every Saturday. Airing on the Cartoon Network, three girls with superpowers help the mayor of Townsville, USA, fight criminals. Along with their scientist father, Professor Utonium, Blossom in pink, Bubbles in blue and Buttercup in green, became role models to girls everywhere.
