We aren't talking about prostitution here. What you are about to read is something very different. Let's speak of those women who actually tried to sell their 'virginity' to complete strangers in 'virginity auctions.' The concept is simple. The ladies put their virginity up for sale on auction websites. Men who are willing to have sex with virgins bid big money to win the auction. Some women made millions doing so. They call this a 'business move', or a way to pay out debt and don't really consider themselves to be prostitutes. "If you take a photograph for onetime, you will not be a photographer. If you have sex only for one time, and if you aren't doing it again, you can't be called a prostitute," said one of the girls who sold her virginity.

1.Rosie Reid - $13,000
In 2004, an 18-year-old student from London auctioned her virginity in order to graduate from the university without debts. She said she received bids from 2000 different men from around the world. She chose a 44-year-old divorced man who agreed to pay her $13,000. She agreed and had sex with him in a hotel room.
2.Alina Percea - $14,000
In 2009, the Romanian girl Alicia Percea sold her virginity to a 45-year-old Italian businessman through a German auction website. The wealthy businessman paid for her to fly to Venice, where the couple had sex in a luxury hotel. The girl went through a medical test to prove if she is really a virgin, prior to hanging out with the old man.
3.Rebecca Bernardo - $35,000
In 2013, an 18-year-old girl named Rebecca Bernardo from Brazil put up her virginity for sale to fight off her poverty. She said she needed money to graduate, and also to take care of her bed-ridden mother. Her mother didn't approve the decision, but she went ahead with the idea anyway. She sold her virginity for $35,000.
4.Cathy Cobblerson - $100,000
According to a Weekly World News report, Cathy Cobblerson, a 24-year-old Texas girl, tried to auction her virginity in order to clear the credit card debt. The girl reportedly tried to raise $100,000. Considering the fact that the news was published in 'Weekly World News' tabloid, which was known for publishing fictional news, the Cathy Cobblerson story may well be a hoax.
5.Catarina Migliorini - $780,000
The 24-year-old Brazilian girl tried and failed for at least four times selling off her virginity for money. She became popular when the news of her selling virginity to a Japanese man named 'Natsu' for $780,000 broke out. She later clarified that she hadn't slept with Natsu because he didn't match her expectations. She tried to sell her virginity again through her own website. It didn't work either.
6.Graciela Yataco - $1.3 Million
In March 2015, the 18-year-old girl from Peru, offered her virginity in exchange for money. To her surprise, the young Peruvian model received a whopping $1.3 million offer from a Canadian businessman. The girl later turned down the offer and called the whole auction thing a publicity stunt.

In March 2014, a medical student named Hanna Kern from Washington University changed her name to Elizabeth Raine and tried to auction her virginity. Bidding reached $800,000 before the lady decided to stop the auction. She stopped the auction as things really went out of her control. Hanna Kern was a sharp and intelligent student. She was known to be a shy and quiet girl in her friends' network. The University professors were outraged on Hanna as she severely damaged the college's reputation with the act.

Raffaellla Fico is a big name in Italy. She is a singer, model and an actress. Sometime back, she announced that she is auctioning her virginity for 1 million Euros. An undercover bidder came forward to pay 1 million Euros. She rejected the offer saying she only wanted to provoke people, and had no intention to sell virginity.

In 2008, a 22-year-old American woman named Natalie Dylan shocked everyone by auctioning her virginity on eBay. She announced the same on The Howard Stern Show that she wanted to sell her virginity. She worked with a brothel to 'take care' of the entire procedure. According to the deal, she would give half of the winning bid money to the brothel. The winning bid was $3.8 million, but the transaction didn't take place for unknown reasons.

The 19-year-old old unnamed girl with a username 'ungirl' posted an ad in one of the virginity auction websites to sell her virginity. The website owner confirmed the girl's ad got 30,000 views and 1200 offers. She sold her virginity for $32,000.
