With a net worth of approximately $4 billion, Star Trek is one of the most successful entertainment franchises in the world. Most of our parents grew up watching Star Trek TOS, and a lot of them passed the culture down to their family line. If you are a big fan of the franchise, perhaps, you already know how Star Trek isn't just a story about alien life but a metaphor for technology, communication, and international politics. Most Star Trek fans aren't very young, so you don't find too many Star Trek Memes on the Internet. So, here is a hilarious collection of 12 memes about Star Trek that are funny and not highly illogical!
1.Tasha Yar - Yasha Tar
Natasha Yar a.k.a. Tasha Yar was a Starfleet officer of human origin. She was also the USS Enterprise-D chief security. Tasha was inarguably one of the most beautiful women of Star Trek, and as you may know, American actress Denise Crosby portrayed the character. Apparently, Tasha Yar's name created a funny and witty anagram, Yasha Tar! Hey, can you identify that Tar-like second character in the meme? Yeah, Armus. It's an evil entity that belongs to unknown species, and its liquid-like body can take any shape including that of a human's.
2.Insert A Probe!
Data was unquestionably an intriguing character, wasn't he? This funny meme pokes fun at Data for hooking up with the weird and ugly-looking Borg Queen. The picture is a screenshot of one of the scenes of Star Trek: First Contact when Borg Queen captured Data, reactivated his emotion chip, and had some fun with him! In one of the episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Data was seen making out with the Starfleet officer, Natasha Yar! Since Data wasn't a human, Tasha or Borg Queen had sex with a machine, a robot to be precise!
3.Piccard Makes Original IPad!
Microsoft came up with the idea of the tablet computer in 2001, so it isn't a wise thing to assume that Apple invented something new. Like all of the Apple's devices, iPad also was just an improvisation of then-existed technology. Getting back to the topic, that thing in Picard's hand does look like a tablet PC, and we must appreciate Gene Roddenberry and the entire Star Trek creative team for their ability to envisage future in a pretty accurate way.
4.This Alien Dog!
Unless you are a big fan of Star Trek and watched the original Star Trek TV series, you are less likely to identify this dog! Its name is Alfa 177, and it was one of the two similar-looking dogs shown in one of the episodes of TOS. The one in the picture was a good dog with friendly nature, and the other was a bad-tempered canine that growls at anything and everything it sees. As this meme says, the dog is an alien species, and its unicorn-like horn and two weird antennas behinds its ears make it look different from an average dog native to Earth.
5.Who Wore It Better? Jake Sisko Or A Random Bus Seat?
Well, Jake Sisko wore some of the weirdest and garish outfits, and the costume you see here in the picture is one of them. To be honest, most actors of the old generation Star Trek TV series wore weird-looking clothes. Even though the Star Trek was set in future, the costume preferences of the first couple of Star Trek TV series were not sophisticated from a fashion perspective to look like futuristic. Who watches a tv show for actors' costumes, anyway? The meme seems funny, though! Isn't it?
6.Treat People In Debt Like Your Family - Exploit Them!
We assume that you are aware of those 285 Rules of Acquisition, penned by Ferengi people. Remember the rule one? "Once you have their money, never give it back!" The quotes are like a Bible for cheapskates around the world, so if you are one, or if you want to become one, read all those Ferengi Rules of Acquisition. Ferengis are interesting people, and they often give you an impression that they were created based on Jewish stereotyping! In fact, many Star Trek fans call Ferengi people space Jews!
7.That's James Kirk For You!
Kirk was a central piece of Star Trek, and he was undoubtedly the most charming character of the franchise. The handsome man, William Shatner, did an excellent job portraying James Kirk in the original series. No wonder women back in the 60s crazily swooned over him! As you know, Kirk wasn't precisely a womanizer, but he bedded many hot female characters of Star Trek, including some aliens! And, hey, did you know that William Shatner and Nichelle Nichols (Uhura) were the first actor pair to enact an interracial kissing scene on American TV?

8.Star Trek Was Ahead Of Its Time
It was indeed way ahead of its time! A space-themed movie or TV show is still a futuristic thing in 2017, and imagine how cool it would feel to watch something like Star Trek in the 60s! Remember, back when the original series of Star Trek was airing, space technology wasn't as advanced as it is today. Star Trek went on air in 1966, and to put this in a better perspective, the United States sent a man to the moon in 1969. The third comparison in the meme looks hilarious! Picard was indeed talking to someone on his Android phone!
9.Yes, I Have Unlimited Data!
It is second Data meme on this topic, and we think this meme is a lot funnier than the first one! As said earlier, Data is inarguably one of the most intriguing supporting characters of Star Trek. Brent Spiner portrayed Data in "Star Trek: The Next Generation," and his performance earned him numerous accolades. Playing an android/robot character can be quite challenging, and one needs to be incredibly talented to pull that off. Here's a small video that shows some funny Star Trek scenes involving Data.

10.He's Dead, Jim!
Leonard McCoy said "He's dead, Jim" for like a million times in the original Star Trek series! Hey, we are just kidding. Not a million times, but he kept saying "He's dead," "She's dead," throughout the series and that became a joke. Bones, as you know, was a doctor, and as this meme says, he was only good at judging whether someone is alive or dead. He would also scream, "I'm a doctor, not a…" frequently, which was hilarious too. The original series is gold, isn't it? If you love McCoy, you may take a look at this funny "He's dead" compilation!
11.This Funny Meme About Red Shirt Trope
If you watched Star Trek TOS, you already knew how redshirt characters in the show suffered a quick and painful death. There is no explanation behind that, and that's just a trope. Apparently, a billboard is displaying a message that reads as, "You Deserve the Redshirt Treatment." As a Star Trek fan, when you see such boards, you are only going to laugh hard at all those people who are going to ring that business for redshirt treatment! Capt. Picard was the only redshirt who survived seven seasons with no critical damage! As the good old proverb says, beware of an old man in a profession where men usually die young!
12.Han Solo Vs. Picard!
Two famous franchises - two famous stars - and one showdown! Who do you think would win? Han always has an advantage, but the old man with bald head has some incredibly smart brain under his skull, so he would have a chance to beat Han Solo only when the battle involved strategies over brute power. They aren't going to fight, anyway! Too bad, we weren't born in an era where two huge movie or TV show franchises would come forward to work together! Nonetheless, that's a funny meme.
